Kelly Deiwert  Clarinet Instruction
I believe in four basic items that are needed for a lesson (besides money and air), they are as follows:

* Instrument, preferable wood of any brand.

* Reeds, I recommend either Van Doren or Mitchell Lurie

* Method Book, I determine which one to use depending the students ability and years playing

* Willingness to learn and have fun

Put these four items together and you have the basics needed to start taking lessons.

I am originally form Greenburg, Indiana and moved here in 1995 after graduating from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana with a Bachelor of Science degree in music education. While at Ball State I participated in marching band, concert band, symphony band and wind ensemble, the highest ensemble at the university. I was also a member of the student chapter of the Music Educators National Conference and Sigma Alpha lota professional fraternity for women in music. In 1995 I was selected as a member of the Indiana All-State Collegiate Band. I did my student teaching at Cowen Elementary outside of Muncie where I taught elementary music, beginning band and beginning choir. Since moving to this area, I have taught lessons on personal recommendations. If you have any questions call Music Manor or you can e-mail me at polkad0t@airmail.net.
