James Evans

Trombone & Low Brass


James Evans obtained his Bachelor of Music degree in 1995 from the University of North Texas in the field of music theory. He served as interim choir director for Prosper United Methodist Church for the six months following graduation. The last five years he has taught in cooperation with the Plano I.S.D. He joined the Music Manor staff in 1998. In 2000 he has agreed to add Mckinney I.S.D and Allen I.S.D. in addition to his Plano teaching. His primary instrument is bass trombone. Mr. Evans teaches trombone, euphonium, tuba and music theory.

Mr. Evans is currently playing with the Metropolitan Winds, a hundred piece wind and percussion ensemble that often perform at the Meyerson. Other performing experience include: World Premier of Sing for the Cure with the Turtle Creek Choral. (watch for the C.D. , Oct. 2000) , Slide Show , the 3 O'clock Lab Band , UNT Trombone Octet, Baylor University Golden Wave Band, Baylor Symphonic Band, Baylor Jazz Ensemble, and the Sky Riders Drum and Bugle Corps ( D.C.I. World Championship Finals 1987).
